Student Corner Mentoring to Nursing Students. Please Mentor A Student!! A mentor is defined as an experienced and prudent advisor who is a nurse. Nursing students experience many fears. The three main fears are: Will I be a confident nurse? Will I make the grade? Will I pass my state boards? These fears may sometimes overwhelm a student. The only way students will survive is to have a mentor that will support and encourage them. Students must be told that they can and will succeed. The mentor should supply the student with a sense of direction. plan of study, and /or tutoring session. This will insure that the students will achieve and receive excellent grades.
When state boards have been passed, the student will receive their license to practice in the great profession of nursing. I am requesting, if you are an experienced and prudent advisor, please mentor a student! Contact us by e-mail.
